Uptown Charlotte is the central business, cultural, sports and convention district. It includes many of the city’s best-known towers, museums, hotels, stadiums and arenas.

Hotel listings, transit directions and event information frequently use “Uptown.” Understanding the term makes it easier to judge whether a location is central and walkable.
